Official Rules and Terms

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A purchase or payment will not increase your chances of winning. Void where prohibited by law.

This Contest does not involve gambling, wagering, or staking real money. All predictions are simulated and tracked within the Oryx platform for educational and entertainment purposes only.

1. Sponsor

This Contest is sponsored by Oryx ("Sponsor," "we," "us," or "our"). By participating in this Contest, you agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor, which are final and binding in all matters relating to this Contest.

2. Eligibility

The Contest is open to individuals who meet ALL of the following requirements:

Employees, officers, directors, and agents of the Sponsor, and their immediate family members (spouse, parents, siblings, children) and household members, are not eligible to participate.

3. Contest Period

The Contest begins on January 7, 2026, at 12:00 AM Eastern Time and ends on April 1, 2026, at 11:59 PM Eastern Time (the "Contest Period"). Only picks made and resolved during the Contest Period will count toward Contest standings.

4. How to Enter

There are two ways to enter this Contest:

Method 1: Platform Entry (Recommended)

  1. Create a free Oryx account at oryx.trade
  2. Make predictions ("picks") using the Oryx platform on either Polymarket events or sports games.
  3. Have a minimum of 50 resolved picks by the end of the Contest Period to qualify for prize consideration.

Picks are automatically tracked through the Oryx platform. Paid subscribers have access to additional platform features, but subscription is not required for Contest entry or eligibility.

Method 2: Alternative Method of Entry (AMOE)

To enter the Contest without a paid Oryx subscription, participants may submit predictions via email as an alternative method of entry.

To enter via AMOE, participants must email their predictions to getoryx@yahoo.com during the Contest Period. Each submission must include:

AMOE participants are subject to the same rules, minimum pick requirements (50 resolved picks), ROI calculations, and ranking criteria as platform participants. Predictions submitted via AMOE will be entered and tracked within the Oryx platform for scoring purposes. No random assignment of predictions will be used.

Limit one AMOE entry per person. Duplicate or incomplete submissions may be disqualified at Sponsor's discretion.

Important: This is a simulated prediction contest. No actual money is wagered on predictions. Picks are tracked within the Oryx platform only and represent hypothetical positions for the purpose of calculating ROI. No gambling or betting is involved.

5. Winner Determination

The winner will be determined based on Return on Investment (ROI) calculated as follows:

ROI = (Total Exit Value - Total Entry Value) / Total Entry Value × 100%

Where:

Both Polymarket and sports picks are combined into a single ROI calculation. The participant with the highest ROI among all qualified entrants (those with 50+ resolved picks) at the end of the Contest Period will be declared the winner.

Tie-Breaking: In the event of a tie, the winner will be determined by:

  1. Total number of resolved picks (higher count wins)
  2. Earlier date of 50th resolved pick (earlier qualifies wins)
  3. Random selection by Sponsor if still tied

6. Prize

One (1) Grand Prize: $500 USD

Prize will be delivered via electronic payment method (PayPal, Venmo, bank transfer, or similar) within 30 days of winner verification. Winner is responsible for providing valid payment information.

No prize substitution, transfer, or cash equivalent is available, except at Sponsor's sole discretion. Prize is non-transferable.

7. Winner Notification and Verification

The potential winner will be notified via the email address associated with their Oryx account within 7 days after the Contest Period ends. The potential winner must respond within 14 days of notification and may be required to:

Failure to respond within the specified timeframe or failure to comply with verification requirements will result in forfeiture of the prize, and an alternate winner may be selected.

8. Disqualification

The Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any participant who:

Disqualification decisions are final and at the sole discretion of the Sponsor.

Note on Subscriptions: If applicable, paid subscribers must remain in good standing to access paid platform features. Free entrants and former subscribers remain eligible for the Contest regardless of subscription status, provided they meet all other eligibility requirements.

9. Taxes

The winner is solely responsible for all federal, state, local, and other applicable taxes associated with the prize. The Sponsor may be required to issue an IRS Form 1099 (or equivalent) for the prize value. Winner must provide any tax information required by Sponsor.

10. Privacy

Information collected from participants is subject to Sponsor's Privacy Policy. By participating, you consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of your information as described therein. Winner's name and general location may be published on the Oryx website and social media channels unless prohibited by law.

11. Publicity

Except where prohibited by law, participation in the Contest constitutes the winner's consent to Sponsor's use of winner's name, likeness, and Contest results for promotional purposes without additional compensation.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:

13. Indemnification

By participating, you agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Sponsor and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from or related to your participation in the Contest or violation of these Official Rules.

14. Modification and Cancellation

The Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to modify, suspend, or cancel the Contest at any time for any reason, including but not limited to:

If the Contest is cancelled, Sponsor may, at its discretion, award the prize based on standings at the time of cancellation among eligible participants.

15. Governing Law and Disputes

These Official Rules and the Contest are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from or relating to the Contest shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association. Any claims must be brought individually and not as part of a class action.

16. Severability

If any provision of these Official Rules is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

17. Complete Agreement

These Official Rules constitute the complete agreement between participants and Sponsor regarding the Contest and supersede all prior agreements or understandings.
